Play Therapy Support for Schools

There's a child you can't stop thinking about.

Let's work out how to help them, together.

In-school play therapy and SEMH consultation for schools across Lincolnshire, helping you understand and support your most complex children, without the long wait for specialist input.

You know the child I mean.

The one whose behaviour doesn't quite make sense yet. The one where you've tried everything in your usual toolkit, and you're still not sure what's underneath it.

You're holding a lot: the referral that's been sitting on a waiting list for months, the pressure from parents who need answers, the pressure from leadership to show what's being done, and the quiet worry that you're the one carrying it, mostly alone.

You don't need another form to fill in. You need someone who can look at this child clearly, and help you see the way forward.

How I help

SEMH consultation clinics

For SENCOs and pastoral teams, in-person or virtual. A space to talk through a specific child, get a clinical perspective, and leave with a clearer next step.

Direct therapeutic play work

One to one, in-person play therapy with individual pupils, working through developmental trauma, attachment difficulties and neurodivergence in a way that makes sense to a child.

Clinical assessment and formulation

In-depth assessment of a child's emotional and behavioural presentation, including written reports that support EHCP applications.

Practical strategies + funding guidance

Usable, realistic approaches for the classroom, plus support accessing funding routes including Pupil Premium Plus, the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund, and high needs funding.

Why it works for your school

Need your head or business manager on board?

Let me know, and I can provide extra information you need for your leadership team to understand the benefits.

Supporting a child with complex SEMH needs isn't just the right thing to do for that child, it's good for the school too.

  • Supports inclusion. Keeps complex children learning in your setting rather than escalating to alternative provision.

  • Strengthens your Ofsted position. Evidenced, whole-child provision that shows clear thinking behind your SEND offer.

  • Reduces risk and cost. Well-evidenced EHCPs and early intervention, set against the far higher cost of placement breakdown, tribunals or alternative provision.

  • Funding need not mean new money. Existing routes like Pupil Premium Plus, the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund and high needs funding can often cover this work.

About Zoe

I'm Zoe, a PTUK-registered play therapist with over 15 years' experience across schools, the NHS, local authority and residential care settings.

I specialise in developmental trauma, attachment and neurodivergence, and I know how it feels to be the person in school holding a complex case with limited time and limited support. My aim is simple: to bring clarity, so you're no longer carrying it alone.

Pricing

Pricing for schools and local authorities depends on the type of support needed, whether that's SEMH consultation, individual therapeutic work with a pupil, or an ongoing arrangement across the term or year.

Please get in touch for a tailored quote. I'm also happy to talk through funding routes that may cover this work, including Pupil Premium Plus, the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund, and high needs funding.
